Wood and Timber
To have furniture crafted from solid timber is a special thing. In new Zealand we have some fabulous native timbers that are quite unique in their decorative characteristics. Rimu has been used for years for cabinet making of all descriptions and still is a favorite for a lot of customers, however rimu is becoming more difficult to source and our alternative native timber such as tawa and matai, and exotics such as oak, cherry, walnut and mahogany are finding favour with our customers.
The strong NZ dollar and depressed off shore markets have resulted in the dramatic reduction in the price of these top quality furniture grade timbers. Please peruse the timber catalogue to find information and images of most commonly available timbers.
