Everwood White Painted Desk:

Everwood designed and built French provincial style office desk painted white with gold guilt detail. This desk was recently built as a commission for a local client, it is a good example of the diverse styles we can under take at Everwood.

The whole desk is built from "O/B" solid Rimu, using traditional cabinet making methods, the legs are in a modern cabriolet style. We ran a nice moulding around the edge of the top to give it a traditional look.

The desk has 2 x fitted draws and is finished in an off white acid catalysed paint, to give the "shabby chic" look we rubbed down the natural high wear areas and used "rub n buff" gold to guild these areas. The whole desk is then coated with a water based two pot natural final coat, this gives a very durable natural looking flat finish.
